Fed: Australia's $28 million jackpot just small fry
More than 10 million Australians are expected to buy a ticket in tomorrow's $28 millionChristmas Lotto megadraw.
Tattersalls general manger ADRIAN NELSON says Victorian sales are already up sevenper cent compared with last year's Christmas megadraw.
Punters have until 7.30pm (AEDT) tomorrow to buy a ticket.
But while winning $28 million is incomprehensible for most, it's small fry comparedwith the $A562 million won by a millionaire construction company owner in the US.
ANDREW "JACK" WHITTAKER Junior's been handed an oversized cheque by lottery officialsin West Virginia, saying he's going to do a lot of good with the money.
But even the US jackpot pales in comparison with Spain's annual Christmas lottery, known as El Gordo -- The Fat One.
This year's jackpot was just over $A3 billion.
