NSW: Cannabis worth almost $5 million seized
Cannabis plants worth almost $5 million have been seized on the New South Wales far north coast.
Police stumbled on a garden plot containing 15 rows of cannabis seedlings at a housenear Copmanhurst after being called to investigate a complaint about a dog yesterday afternoon.
A subsequent search of the property, north of Grafton, netted hundreds of mature cannabis plants.
A police spokeswoman says a total of 2,377 plants were seized, with an estimated potentialstreet value of $4.75 million.
Property from the home was taken for forensic examination and investigations are continuing.
